No More Circles
Dang! It has already been a month? Time is definitely going faster since I took over taking care of my kids.
I dropped the kids off at Encircle the first night of September, and I took Brodie over to Liberty Park to walk and play while we waited for the kids.
A few days later, we had a big storm come through the valley. Luckily, one of the kids went downstairs and saw it flooding into the basement. Luckily, they moved my brother’s art before it was ruined.
On the 15th, I took the kids up to the school so they could get their school pictures taken, and find their lockers.
Later that night, I took the kids to a shop near by (that my brother told the kids about) that sells petrified and regular bones, embalmed, and trinkets of animals (obviously dead).
After, we enjoyed waffles to-go to celebrate the last night of summer (where I could spend time with the kids).
Really quick, since I don’t share many pictures of myself, I started growing my beard out the first week of May. By mid August, it had grown this much…
After many visits/calls to the school and district building to get the kids enrolled, the kids finally began their first day of 11th grade at the school up the street. So my kids will be second generation students of Brighton High School… except they have levels, not the Spaceship Enterprise circle halls that I had.
The first week was hell week, trying to get the kids all set up and familiar with the school, but the second week forward has been much better! To show the kids how grateful I am they did well without total chaos, I took the kids to get ramen/sushi that Friday of the first week of school.
I’ve noticed that since the kids are with me now, I haven’t been taking many photos like I have in the past, I’ve been busy being in the moment and enjoying my time with the kids. Plus, we visit the same places a lot and there is no need to take repeat pictures.
I will have a lot more photos come next months post, because of a lot more events we are going to.
